Gillian Stewart

Learning and Development Consultant

Using a range of learning styles and psychological models, including Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Gill works with teams to improve their performance and effectiveness whilst enhancing leadership skills.

She encourages a collaborative approach as people work together; discovering the differences that can help or hinder a positive working relationship. By using good communication, observation and feedback, people's potential is unlocked by recognising, valuing and working with these differences. By helping people in teams to motivate each other (using enjoyable experiential activities and positive influencing skills) everyone takes ownership of their learning, as they build their strengths and develop areas for improvement in practical, realistic ways.

Her management experience as Director of an outdoor centre and as a senior teacher, as well as now running her own company,  means that she understands the practical challenges faced by managers and teams. She offers both indoor and outdoor programmes that are designed, developed and delivered in consultation with her clients to meet their objectives and lead to changed behaviours in the work-place.

Gill enjoys leading Nordic Walking groups; walking with her Border Terrier, Sam, in the New Forest and in mountain areas;  and spending time with her children who are grown up and independent these days.  She also keeps fit and has fun doing Modern Jive dancing and pilates.
